Gotha GO-229 (Horten HO-229) |

The mystery about Gotha GO-229 or Horten HO-229 is the very strange story about secret diplomacy and the United States will hire engineers and other specialists for their own aircraft projects. In this text, the plane is mentioned as "Gotha GO-229" but it is also known as "Horten Ho-229". One reason for those actions attempted to deny those people know how from the Soviet Union, what was the ideological enemy for the United States. Many people believe that Horten brothers airplane was not mentioned to be STEALTH.
The structure of that incredible airplane was simply the flying wing or boomerang, what have the capacity to fly long distance with the same load of fuel than normal airplanes. The STEALTH capacity is also coincidence because the soft shapes give the airplane good aerodynamic features. When we are thinking about the STEALTH-capacity of that airplane, we must think that capacity in the light of 1940’s technology. Not against technology what is usable today, and that’s why that airplane was very dangerous.

The GO-229 had the capacity for very long-range operations, and if those planes would have bigger tanks, they could attack New York. But lucky for the allies, only two prototypes of that plane ever built. Even strike with GO-229 could be devastating, because there was no need for being worry in the coast of the United States, and that’s why attack with those planes might surprise the people of the United States of America. But as we must say, the STEALTH-capacity was not the primary part when that outstanding airplane was designed, but the aerodynamic shape of that very fast and maneuverable jet plane made that design also capable of the STEALTH attack. The ideas of Hermann Goering has used those planes to attacks against Great Britain radar stations.

The improved version of GO-229 was a strategic bomber, what should equip with eight jet motors, and that plane had a capacity to strike to the New York and Washington with nuclear or other weapons of mass destruction. The very interesting thing about GO-229 was that airplane was made wood, so it should not need for strategic metals. The channels of the jet engines were covered with asbestos, so the heat of the exhaust gas might not burn the surface of that plane. And the side helm was put in the exhaust tube, like in the B-2 bomber. GO-229 was shipped to the United States in "OPERATION SEAHORSE", which objective was to deny that airplane from the Soviets.
But if Germany had made more of those planes, the result of the war might be different. And if it was able to get to the hands of the Soviet Union, would the world be different than today. One reason for “OPERATION PAPERCLIP” was to deny those technological advantages like V-2 (A-4) rocket, cruise missiles, jet fighters and “Hönebru”-UFO-shape vertical take off airplanes from the Soviet Union. And that’s why some Nazi-criminals who took part of human tests and probably the design of gas chambers were able to move to the United States.
