Machine learning brings social skills to robots.

Machine learning brings social skills to robots.

Things like social skills are important for robots that are working with humans. The skills like saying "pardon me, I'm hurrying" are interactive methods to tell that robot has some kind of mission. If we are thinking the case that robot works in warehouses and collect the stuff from the shelves.

There is needed to tell people if they are closing the road. As an example the case that the robot collects food. That requires cold storage robot should tell people that it is in a hurry or its load is warming. So the people should step away from it, or the food is going bad.

That thing means the robot has not had the entire day. To wait for those people will step away from its route. This is one example where the robot should communicate with people. In some other examples, the people are standing in the working area of the welding robots without protective masks. And that means robots should tell that they should use dark glasses because of the welding radiation.

But when we are thinking possibility that artificial intelligence supports the people in the cases like studies. There is the possibility that it would help the student to remember things like how to mark sources. And what kind of standard the student must use in the work. But the artificial intelligence can also follow what kind of sources the student will use for the thesis.

That thing means that the AI recognizes the type of the sources and that they will fit to work. Then the AI can discuss with the student what are students' opinions of the sources are. The AI can also search how long the source has been open, and if there is something that should not be, the AI can tell that thing to a student.

The use of machine learning is free. There are no limits in areas where that kind of system can use. The things like networked systems are also offering those systems to share their experiences. Things like choosing the route for driving would be the thing where the AI can give a piece of advice. The GPS and non-stop updating real-time data from the traffic control would make driving more comfortable. And if the system knows where is planned to stop.

And other kinds of things that thing can also make driving safer and more economical than they are today. The accuracy and mass of data in the computer are determining the accuracy and how effective artificial intelligence can be.

This kind of system bases the idea that the computers of the vehicles can exchange information about the times, what they are using for some trip. That thing means that the cars can change information and the traffic control computers can help to select the routes that are the most economic and fastest. The thing is that if the system knows the destiny of every vehicle and the driving speed on roads.

The system can turn part of the traffic to other roads avoiding the rush. There are, of course, people who need to use a certain road but if the computer can route traffic with different routes that thing can make the driving more economic. Artificial intelligence can also give warnings if the tank or battery of the vehicle is empty.

The system can search the next recharge point but if the destiny is near the system can also tell how long it would take to load the vehicle at the destiny. For making this kind of process the most comfortable as possible. The system requires so much data as possible. Things like stops and fast visits. Should load to the computer. And also the possibility to reload the battery in those places. Must be stored in the computer's memory.

Is the Isaac Asimov’s “Solaria” from the book “Naked Sun” same thing as “Utopia”?

When we are analyzing the book, named “Naked sun”, we must think, the name shake between Admiral Roscoe Hillenkoetter top secret “Solaria-project”, what was mentioned in some UFO-book. Admiral Hillenkoetter was one name on the list, what is claimed to be a list of the Majestic-12 group. When we are thinking about Asimov’s Solaria, on that planet was only 20000 citizens, and when we are looking the structure of this book, we must say that this book seems very strange. In that book, Solaria is creating the next generation super weapons. The mass army of robots.

And the thing, what makes it strange is that maybe those “planets” were actually the “moon bases” on earth. I don’t know if this ever made, but those “moon bases” could be used in highly advanced genetic experiments. In this text, I think the possibility to make the network of isolated bases, what lives separately from other people. Of course, if that kind of network would exist, it could use the genetic engineering. In this book, the Solarians keep their planet population 20 000 and their behavior would be very unsocial. This is the thing, what is highlighting for centuries.

If there would be the capacity to select the human genomes, that the human would always get the skills, what that person might need to increase the team, that thing would make possible to create the members of the society, live hundreds of years. Or maybe those persons would use retrovirus, what can renew the genomes inside the cells. In this scenario, every person, who would be in this secret society would be taken the DNA. And then some laboratory would make virus by using this DNA. When the person is getting old, this DNA would use to replace the genomes from the nucleus of the cells and mitochondria to the new one. That might fix the cells of the body to be like young people.

Roscoe H. Hillenkoetter
(1897-1982)

The people of those isolated societies would be selected from the most capable and intelligent persons on Earth, and they would be living in the place, where the birth rate is extremely well controlled. In this scenario, the scientists would make artificial people by using artificial fertilization. This would cut the connection of population to normal people. And nobody misses them. This world might be the very interesting way to test, what extremely intelligent people would create when they can do things together.

But when we are looking this fictional network of secret scientific places, we must think about “Utopia”. The mythical secret isolated society, what based the book of Thomas More from 1516. It was the book of the society of tomorrow, and this book has given names for the thing what cannot be reached. Also, the unidentified flying objects can have name shake between utopia. So if those plans were real, could this kind of experiment be the most disturbing thing, what people ever imagined.

In many books and films have been introduced the “utopia”. The isolated farm or castle, what involves the group of carefully chosen persons. In the book, “Naked sun” were the names of the fictional planets like “Nexus”. And this would be very fascinated. If some person like Hillenkoetter investigates the things like isolated bases, what have the mission to create advantages for some government, must this man has good evidence about the existence of this kind of structure.

Roscoe Hillenkoetter was the chief intelligence officer of the United States NAVY. He also worked as the first chief of CIA. His idea of humanoids was that they might be from Earth, and the origin of those very mysterious creatures would be some kind of network of camps, where the population was generated in centuries. This hypothesis was created by the books what have written by the persons like Bulwer-Lytton and H.G Wells. Those books were contained the secret societies and isolated places.

So Hillenkoetter created a very interesting hypothesis that some very intelligent persons were hidden inside some structures like camps of GULAG, and those persons would have the network across the earth. This structure is fictional, but Hillenkoetter had many good ideas of this kind of things, and maybe the tests for isolated societies have made by some men in the past. But how serious can we take those things? I’m saying, that I certainly hope that this writing is telling about the fictional story about the network of secret communities. And I think that was only the fictional idea of those places. Some kind of thought about the sociological and genetic experiment, what could be the very fascinated thing, what sometimes comes to pages of some magazines or Internet pages.

Writing about threats of modern military drones

Kimmo Huosionmaa

When we are talking about new era combat robots, we must understand why those kind of weapon systems are creating in many laboratories around the world. If some army or air force will begin to use robots on the battlefield, they don't have worry about losses, because in those operations will not cause human casualties on the side, what uses robots on the battlefield.

Robots are very good weapons because if we think about robot airplanes, they can be airborne even for years.  Robot bombers and fighters are actually an upgraded versions of cruise missiles. The main difference between robot fighter and a cruise missile is that robot fighter or bomber uses sub-munitions to attack the targets. But also those robot planes might equip with internal warheads.

So those planes might use as a kamikaze if there is enough important target for those planes. But this kind of systems will cause a terrible situation in the air. If standard cruise missiles are equipped with sub missiles, and they would have the capacity to go air combat, the result could be devastating, if fighter pilots don't know about the situation, where cruise missiles have anti-aircraft missiles. Those systems might look like missiles, but they have the capacity to go air battle. Modern combat robots are very autonomic units. They can equip with advanced artificial intelligence, what makes them immune for ECM-systems.

And they have image detectors, what makes them possible to identify any targets, what are allowed to attack. Those image recognization systems make possible to pick armed persons from streets and open the fire against them. But those image scanning programs makes possible to use UCAV:s (Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicles) to kill some precise targets. If those systems are mounted to combat drones, what is actually "X" -helicopters, what is equip with machine guns,  they might be very dangerous.

Network-based computing infrastructure makes drone musters very good but same time very dangerous part of military technology. Anybody can buy toy helicopter, and equip it with rifle ammunition, what can launch by the electric spark by the same kind of equipment that is used in remote-controlled bombs. And those drones can be equipped with electric winches, what pulls the trigger back with wire. And those guns ammunition might be installed with the trunk of the gun, what allows to install 360 degrees turning stand for that weapon. Aiming that system might happen with cameras, and they might be useful in anti-sniper operations. But those weapons can be very dangerous in wrong hands.

This systems base is a system, where computers share their calculating capacity between them, and even if those drones have very many limits in their computer systems, the shared computing makes possible to make autonomic drone muster, what will use for the attack against any target. Those drone musters might be acting as a group when e attacking airplane comes, they will rise in the path of that plane, and try to guide those drones inside it motors, and that will cause loss of that airplane.
