Cold war armies were many differences in the comparison to modern armies or military forces. The Soviet military believed the ordinary man's skills and ability to make military maneuvers. And the production of the Soviet army was the so-called general soldier, who had the ability to operate any kind of systems. Bad rumors say that the Soviet Union used the military forces also for threat, that if somebody said something against the political system, would that person called to military refreshing, where that person would be informed, that it would be wrong to criticize the political system of the Soviet Union and other communist countries. I sometimes write about communist block armies, because they are made with the same format with Soviet military forces.


The United States military forces believed in professional military force, and that have caused critics against that institution. There is claimed, that those professional military men are spending all of their life for practicing killing techniques, what makes them extremely dangerous. But the defenders of professional military forces are asking: "what else must the military men be than dangerous?". The purpose of the military is to cause fear in the mind of the enemy.


This supports the model of professional military men. And of course, the use of robots in the combat zone is supported by avoiding own losses. Robots are good warriors because they would not make anything, what operators are not allowed them to do. The robot operators would not need hand-to-hand combat skills for accomplishing their missions and that's why those persons are safer than some green berets. The loss of robots is very easy to tolerate, and nobody even notices if some drones are shot down. If the human pilot would be shot down, will all world know about it, and that person could tell something, what is classified. But robots would not know anything if they are destroyed. And that's why those systems are so high in the western military shopping lists.



 The tactics were different in both sides of the Iron curtain. Soviet tactics were simple frontal assaults where were used tanks in the massive formations and massive firepower against the enemy and that tactics were effective against more technical but outnumbered German army in the Second World war. But the problem with that tactics was great losses. United States military believed smaller groups movements by using helicopters.


The United States military was more technical and uses more complicated tactics against the enemy, but that would save men at least in the limited conflicts. The philosophy of the Soviet army was, that the men were recruited for a couple of years, and then they were released for civil works. The United States military used professional and voluntary troops, what was able to operate in the overseas situation, and those voluntary men were excellent fighters, but the problem was that they were not released for other works.


Professional soldiers lose contact with the normal life, but they are easier to send far away from home for the military actions. There are good points for supporting both sides of military training. When we are thinking about the technical stuff, what the military forces were got in the United States, the mission of that equipment is to make those forces capable of highly mobile operations, where the helicopters and aircraft would replace tanks and artillery. The problem with frontal assault tactics is the high number of own casualties, what are seen in many combats, where the communist army have taken apart.


When we are thinking about the long-term war between the nations, that would be hard to understand, that the long-term wars are the good thing only for the commanders of the armies. The problem with that kind of actions is, that the commanders would be untouchable in the long-term conflict. And this is the reason, why the United States created nuclear weapons.  Those weapons allowed to stop the conflicts very fast, and that was the reason, why also the Soviet Union made their first nuclear weapon in 1947. That weapon was worked perfect cover for Kremlin and other governments.


The user of nuclear weapons would not need very much training, and this is the reason for creating the ballistic missiles. When we are thinking about the Soviet political system, that nation would stand better in the long-term war. But the USA:s tactics was, that if the Soviet Union would crush the defense of NATO, the use of nuclear weapons would be possible. And every democratic state is talking about defense forces. Attack forces are the term, what is used for communists armies. Many things were secret in the Cold War military forces, and there were made many experiments, what are not mentioned.


But when we are talking about the military equipment or toys, we must remember the wisdom of some admiral. I don't remember was that person Jellicoe during the First World War, but the thing goes like this: "if the equipment is bad, and the ships would be sunk in the battles, it would be better to stay in the harbor". Or something like that went the philosophy of that admiral. The Soviet side was not well known about open information about military forces and in that country, and even the factories were prohibited to photograph from outside.



And that tells something about how open that nation was in the time of Cold War. Of course, AK-47 was the better concept than M-16 in the Vietnam War, and the U.S military used too many toys. But if the bombers would always send on one way trip in the war, would that also mean something. And when we are thinking about this kind of situation, that other side of the conflict would consume the conventional forces, would that drive the conflict to the point, where the use of nuclear weapons would be possible.


When we are talking about the economy and its relationship with the military, we must concern that democratic nation would not get any equipment for free. Every worker must get the salaries, and if we would think that the use of political prisoners in the production of military equipment, that would make the work cheap, but are those products actually so branded, that they could use in the real battleground.



The problem with prison work is always sabotage and the poor brand, what was one reason for the collapse of Germany in the 1940's. So every military product of German army was good on paper, but the practical apps were far away, what they should be. This is one problem with undemocratic countries. The workers have the bad motives and the equipment would be made with spoil, and that would make them even dangerous in the real situation.

Why are we all different?

Every human being is the little bit different than other. And do you know why we are different? The reason for that is quite exciting. This is why we can avoid the “banana syndrome”. Name of that thing was given to the situation, that we would be like bananas. If every banana in the same plantation is from the same vegetable. And if there would be some illness for those vegetables they would all terminated.

Humans are different because if something would threaten us, and that could find out how to destroy one of us, the second person might have little bit different immune system or way to fight. Here I’m not separate the threats what are caused by animals, microbes or other humans. I’m talking about the common level of difference between individuals.


The way of see and way of thinking makes difference between normal person and artist. The artists see example trees as stoned geysers. In this way to think the element, what causes this think, is the tree, what looks like shadow opposite of the sun. This means that those trees seem like fountains or geysers.


Artists must get inspiration and innovation for their work, and this is why they would hike around the natural area. Those pictures bring the thoughts in the mind of the artist and they would paint or write about the things, what they are seeing in outside.


When I’m talking about forests, I don’t mean that person should go to Lapland in the forest, what covers thousands of square kilometers. Near own home, the person could find enough nature, that the effect of that beauty can be trapped by the camera.


Many of the thoughts, what artist thinks are so weird, that nobody ever wants to hear them. And every person who wants to create something is a little bit different than other. Nothing would prohibit thinking, and if the person knows a visual way to think, that might cause the synthesis, what will transform as the texts and pictures.


The thought that tree is an actually stoned geyser, is very silly. But some people are very nasty, and they have right to be, what they are. Or do you think that Herman Gesellius or Akseli Gallen-Kallela was something normal? They have a place in the history of Finland as the national artists.


Individual ideas, what real artists have might look like very disturbed. One of the most disturbing ideas, what I ever heard was that inside the Pharaohs head under the skull would put the spider. This spider would thing off until it brains and the poison glands are left, and if the victim would resist, that spider would release the poison to the brains.


That idea came to mind when I was looking Star Trek in the long time ago. In that sequence where the alien, what looked like some kind of neuron or gigantic mosquito. and it took the man in command. In this alien were the neurons, what were transferred to the victim's body, when this organism bites. And I thought that maybe there might be that kind of species in somewhere in Universe.


Maybe I read that thing from some horror novel, but it gave me many dreamless nights, where I thought that maybe this would be tomorrow of the human race. The prisoners were implanted by the electronic components, what are connected in the pain and passion centers in the people brains. If the sensors show to the masters of the system that the victim would resist, the system would give the electric shock to center, what causes extreme pain, and if the target would be “nice boy” those operators would stimulate the passion centers. That might make people the slaves.

The person who has good self-esteem doesn't need them to roar to other people or act like they are some kind of boss for other people. But the most important thing about self-esteem is that the person dares to be uncertain. That means that the person dares to ask for help and advice for own work. But the real thing of the self-esteem is that people dare to be unique. If the person doesn’t make individualistic work, the result might not be a masterpiece. The manifestation of good self-esteem is that the person will not let anybody keep the mind in the prison. 

The only full release of the mind is a key to the masterpiece. The masterpieces are born only in the mind what is full freed for the innovation process. When I wrote, that the person should dare to ask for help, I must say that the help would not actually come from another person. 

The thing that gives help to the master would also come from the books or from the Internet. So here I’m writing about the use of sources. Only the checked and instructed information is valuable for the work, what is made of investigations and investigative methods. When we are asking the help from another person, there is a risk that this person gives us the false information. The situation is same as the tourist trip, where tourist has hurry to the toilet or that person should go to some specific place. Experienced tourist ever asks the toilet. 

This person goes to the bar, orders something and goes to the toilet. Same way the experienced traveler ever ask where is someplace. Those persons ask about city map and finds that place with own eyes. If our traveler wouldn’t do that would the result of the asking be that our tourist will go in the taxi, what drives around the city to the place, what would be 50-meters away from their hotel? This kind of situations is usually avoided by taking the tourist map from the hotel lounge. The Same thing might happen in the academic work. If the upcoming doctor will not know something, might that person become a victim of false information? 

The situation where upcoming scientist doesn’t know something will agitate some persons to make “practical jokes" for that person who makes the thesis. And one of the best thing, what makes the all table laughing is to give the upcoming doctor the false information. But when we are talking about releasing the mind, we must realize that realizing the mind means, that nothing can ever disturb or bandage the mind, what is working with some ideas. Somebody sometimes says that the law or morale are the things, what would give limits for that work. 

And here we come to the limits of technology. If the law text says something or the thing what the work depends doesn’t mean that the thing would be prohibited. And when we are talking about medicine known as the penicillin. Do you like mold? The penicillin is made of mud mushroom, and when we are talking about that mold, that doesn’t seem very attractive. 

But this mushroom makes poison, what can use as antibiotics. The difference between Penicillium and the predecessors was that the penicillium can be taken by mouth. The penicillium was real wonder medical, but people forgot, that very nice and easy to use antibiotics, and this antibiotic have been saved millions of lives on earth. Many people forget, that this antibiotic was made under the control of the Edgewood Arsenal, and it was mentioned for use against anthrax and other biological weapons.  If we think very clearly, that penicillium-antibiotics made possible to use those biological agents against the enemies, but own troops would be in safe. 

The investigations around this medicine were the most brilliant example, what the scientific work could be. And one of the most brilliant invention in the human history was made. But as we know every bright story have the dark side. And what brighter the story is the darker side it can make, as we have noticed in the history. This is the way of science and philosophy. The science and morale doesn’t ever go together. And the scientists must realize, that the person who chooses scientific career must understand what is good and what is bad. When atom bombs are made, the world was in the war, and those scientists thought that weapon was the way of good, and somebody believes that nuclear weapons kept the world almost in the peace for 50 years, except couple of million people died by the wars in the Vietnam and Africa, but the full-scale war between the USA and the Soviet Union were abandon. 

Or do you think that the atom bomb has a moral but some persons say that the atom bombs have killed fewer people than conventional bombs? So that is the reason, why atom bombs are more ethical than conventional bombs. And this is what means the word “moral”. There is no absolute morale in the world and the scientists and philosophers always say that there are things that are more moralistic and ethical than other. Those are the facts of the scientific work. They are not always nice or ethical. But those things exist and that is enough for the world.
