The punt gun

https://gamesandtehories.blogspot.com/

The punt gun was an extremely large shotgun, what was meant for shooting even 100 birds per shot. This shotgun is illegal in modern times, but it still remains one of the most brutal and extreme firearms in history. The punt guns were used in the late 19th. and early 20th. century. The thing, what caused the end of this kind of extreme firearms is how lethal they are, but they are not actually prohibited. There is possible to use this weapon legally for hunting, and there are still those guns in the register at Great Britain.

In 1914 the British Army tried to use those guns on the battlefield because punt gun was harder to locate than a machine gun. When the machine gun started to fire the snipers could shoot the shooter, and in the night the flame, what comes from the pipe of the gun is very visible. But if the soldier uses punt gun, would that position be harder to locate, and those guns are extremely lethal against assaulting troops. In fact, I don't personally know has that weapon used in battle, or did they only in test use in some test range. And in modern time claymore-mines could be used to protect the position in the same way. When the trooper would notice that the enemy is coming, could he launch the claymore mine, or plate mine, what would send a deadly burst of bullets thru the air.

The idea of punt gun has taken from shrapnel-rounds. The shrapnel is actually the cannon, what is filled with musket ball-bullets. That thing is effective against cavalry and infantry.  The shrapnel has given an idea to make extremely large shotgun ammunition for cannons. That ammunition would give the 155 mm. cannons air defense capacity, and if that ammunition is used against infantry formations the power of those weapons could be devastating. If the 40 mm. cannon is filled with shotgun-type ammunition, it would be easier to shoot down the small size drones.

In Waco, Texas the cult members of David Koresh were used own made punt guns against FBI. I don't exactly know, what kind of ammunition those people used in this sad case. But sometimes the own made punt guns were used in some military actions. Those things were actually steel tubes that were filled with steel balls and at the back of the tube was dynamite or plastic explosives. They are able to launch by using electric nails, and that makes possible to launch them from distance and use them as claymore mines.

Writing about corral birds.

Kimmo Huosionmaa

I once read a story from the book what handles the thing called possibility. That is the story of little pig, what is laying in its bullpen, and every morning comes somebody to give it some food. And then comes one special morning, when the food is not coming, and that little pig is taking to out, where the block of food is waiting. That pig's destiny was to trust that people will take care of it for free.

The people who took that pig to their home mission was to protect it against other beasts, and that little pig must felt that it got all support and food for nothing, but then comes the Christmas, and those people wanted to make their Christmas menu and that costs the pigs life. This is a story that made me think, how many times there is other than altruistic reasons for giving protection and support to other people. How many times an angel will show that nobody ever should trust.

When people trust together blindly, they will go to the danger zone. If we are thinking that everybody is altruistic, we must understand that some "angels of the street" are something else than people, who will show the goodwill to other people. I once saw the movie about hunters, who used bird what is put on corral, and used as a decoy for another bird. Those birds were grown with the people, and then they didn't afraid of the hunters.  Somebody says that in some communities the fur hunters used the same methodology to wolfs.

They grow some wolf-puppies with them and after those puppies have grown in full age they called another wolfs to shoot by hunters. This was normal hunting methodology in the 19. century. Today that method is prohibited, but sometimes those hunters have used decoy animals for calling the pray for them. And also mobile telephones ringtones have been modified for giving the call signals to those animals. That way of hunting is too effective and it has been causing loss of some bird populations around the world. If police catch some person of that action, it might cost that hunters weapon to the state.

Those birds called the other birds to the yard, and after that hunters shot them. Here I mean, that if some persons want to show, that they represent some group of people, we must realize that those people might be separated from other persons of that community. They might see only what the leaders of that system want them to see.  In the world is many people, who want to play some kind of angel to other people. But the truth about that altruism is that those people might use those people, who were "rescued" from somewhere, might only use those persons as a free workforce.
