Satellite what will launch with laser system must be equipped with a great structure like a kite because heat will rises extremely hot, and a laser is easier to aim to big but thin target. If that targets surface area is big, will heat split to a larger area and it allows to use a laser  to push it to trajectory without fear of overheating.

Laser might also use to push satellites upwards in their trajectory and that will increase the life of low earth orbiting satellite because they must not use their rocket motors for that maneuver. If that spacecraft uses internal electric generators and turbines or small nuclear reactors the laser system could target to carbon fiber cones, what heats very high temperature. After that, those systems might flight in deep space or fly without voice above some area. If there is motor jet tubes circular formation around that vehicle that will allow making that thing able to fly in any way where it needs to change its course with very high surprise effect.

Another way to use external power is point laser to some airplane, where it heats very cold gas or liquid substance what might be water or some other liquid what creates steam while heating.
