"Black out bomb" is normal nuclear weapon what will explode outside Earth atmosphere, and there it will cause massive EMP- or electromagnetic pulse.  That pulse could cause damages to all equipment what have microchips and computers inside them. Power of the EMP-weapon was proven in 1962 when USA made nuclear test called "Fishbowl Starfish Prime" over Honolulu. Power of hydrogen bomb what used in this test was 1,4 megatons and it destroyed electronic components at that city, and you must remember that was year 1962, when electrical components were more tolerable for electric pikes or magnetic disorders than modern electronics.


Making an EMP-bomb is easier than people think, and only what state must have is nuclear weapon. The weapon itself is like some kind of space version about car bombs. Normal way is just follow missile from earth with radar and when weapon is in right position it will explode with radio signal, but if somebody wants to make EMP-strike without warning, must this part of conflict  only launch an satellite to orbital trajectory and when satellite is in right position will nuke be explode in that trajetory, when EMP comes without warning. This satellite can be launched years before operation.


Name of those satellites is SIS Space Integrated System, what means nuke what can explode without warning. What makes EMP weapon so easy to get is that this kind of weapon doesn't need advanced guidance system. People doesn't always fear of this kind of "non lethal nuclear weapons" because those weapons can't harm people.


Or they can't harm people with straight strike, but when they destroys computers and other electric equipment with massive electric storm, it can cause fatal damages for airplanes, other transport equipment, hospitals and nuclear facilities, what can be cause nuclear fallout, because their computerized control system will shut down. Those damages will cause massive threat for people, when air-traffic-control will shut down and airplanes navigation and computerized avionics will be destroyed by over electricity. Same thing happens to satellites which orbits Earth.


This kind of damage could shut down GPS and other kind of orbital systems like communication satellites. Those satellites are vital role when combat troops are in operation, and they need real time communication. And EMP can also harm missile system control computers. If this happens THAAD missiles will not able to handle their mission, and then anti ballistic missiles will become ineffective against incoming missile.
